Our Mission
Creating Opportunities for Transformation
The Ignatian Spirituality Center of Milwaukee is a vibrant hub for Christian spirituality, serving individuals and communities throughout Wisconsin. Rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, our mission is to create opportunities for transformative encounters with God through retreats, one-on-one spiritual direction, and in-depth study and reflection. We honor the unique spiritual journey of each person and offer compassionate guidance and encouragement to all who seek a deeper sense of purpose and connection.
As a nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Wisconsin and recognized as a 501(c)(3) entity, the Ignatian Spirituality Center promotes the study and practice of Ignatian spirituality, with a special focus on offering the Spiritual Exercises. In alignment with the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus, we are committed to accompanying those on the margins—including the materially poor, the incarcerated, young adults, and individuals recovering from homelessness or addiction.
Our work is carried out by a dedicated team of spiritual directors, trained through the Seminars in Ignatian Formation (SIF) program of the Midwest Jesuits, as well as through certificate and continuing education programs offered by Jesuit institutions, for example, Loyola University Chicago and the Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat Center.
